Video Production: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Windsor
Since video production typically involves shooting video, we are limited by the distance we can reasonably travel in a day. However, Kohlitz maintains a very large range. We have shot video as far north as Traverse City, Michigan, down to Toledo, Ohio, to Grand Rapids in the west and even to Windsor, Canada. Yet, most of our video production happens in Southeast Michigan.
With the wonders of computers, modern communication and the internets, animation can be provided to anyone anywhere! We have provided animation to PhaseFour, a satellite propulsion company based in California, Taper\Range, a provider or patent-pending shooting ranges based in Colorado and LightCurve Films a.k.a. Maartin Roos who hails from Netherlands!
The process for conducting animation requires no face-to-face
(but that doesn’t mean we’re not happy to skype or google hangout!)
First a script is written and that can be a collaborative process through something like Google Docs or the client may provide a script. From that script, as well as any references of style you may like, Kohlitz then creates a storyboard and concept art which can be shared over email. The next step is creating the animation and sharing two reviews of that animation through Wipster, a private video review service that allows you to put comments straight into the video. Choosing voiceover talent, music and sfx can all be completed over the web as well. Lastly, the final video files are delivered through Dropbox. See our process page for more details.
