“Be Smart” Animation for the UMich Division of Public Security & Safety Freshmen Orientation

Animation produced for Michigan Creative and their client, the University of Michigan’s Division of Public Safety and Security

Creating the Be Smart Animation

Produced in just two weeks, Kohlitz worked with the creative agency, Michigan Creative and singer/songwriter, Dick Siegel, to illustrate and animate this hilarious but serious animation about safety and general awareness when being a student on University of Michigan’s campus. Much like our inspiration, the viral “Dumb Ways to Die” campaign, this animation has the importance of delivering a memorable message about safety to thousands. Every year, this animation is shown to the University of Michigan’s incoming freshman class and remind them to “Be Smart.”
