Running Fit “Spreading Goodwill Through Running” Video

Running video produced for Running Fit

Creating a Running Video Production for Running Fit

As runners ourselves, we were very happy to take on this running video project for Ann Arbor local running store, Running Fit. This full production video included interviews with employees and customers, broll shooting of multiple events that spanned several months and editing down to a concise story of Running Fit’s attentive running store environment, enormously fun themed races, and finally through their goodwill by promoting health and charity.

Transcript

John McPartlin: “What ways does Running Fit generate goodwil in Michigan? I would say we’re in the fitness business.”
Theodore I. Martin: “Running Fit’s goodwill in Michigan has got to be in spreading the gospel of running.”
Sara: “It’s more of a community that promotes running.”
Ted Gray: “Their relationship with the customers. There’s personal attention.”
Luke Pawlaczyk: “We take an individual interest in each person that comes in.”
Sara: “When I first started running, I was very late in life runner, I didn’t run in college or anything like that. I popped in one day and explained who I was and what type of runner and what I was looking for and was talked to like a person.”
John: “It’s fantastic when I’m getting somebody that’s new to running and to be able to provide the service.”
Jocelyn Anderson: “And it really helps to get that expertise and finding the right piece of equipment.”
Joann Gray: “Ask any question, they know. It’s about running.”
Ted: “What I really enjoy about the way Running Fit puts on races is, they are all themed events of some kind. You know, a lot of times people come in costumes and just have a grand old time.”
Sara: “A Running Fit event isn’t just a race, it’s a whole atmosphere, it’s a party with a race.”
Joann: “It seems to me that they are more enthusiastic and happy events.”
Jocelyn: “And that completely changed my outlook on how races really could be fun and not just complete serious business.”

Theodore: “Running Fit events are like night and day from other events in the personal attention that I get.”
Jocelyn: “Every race has been incredibly nice, really supportive whether it’s a 5K, whether it’s an ultra, they’ve all been run super well and I absolutely love them.”

Ted: “There’s charity tie-ins which I think it’s terrific for Running Fit to be able to do that.”
Jocelyn: “They do the Martian Marathon for kids and they run their 25 miles, then they show up there and do their 1.2 and they get the marathon medal.”
Skyler Martin: “I did that for one of my first races, the Martian Marathon. I did it in the summer, the I did the one mile at the end.”
Sara: “I just thought it was so cool the way they were taking kids from just the beginning and giving them the opportunity to be a part of something so and I never saw one hundred and eighty kids more proud of themselves.”

John: “When you work with customers on a regular basis and people that are training for different races and trying to attain a goal like the very first 5K. It’s wonderful to be able to share in that. See them at the finish line and see them all excited you get excited with them.”
